ASSOCIATE EQUINE VETERINARIAN

Originally from the Netherlands, Kirsten graduated from Ghent University in Belgium before returning home to complete a one-year rotating internship at a large equine clinic. During this time, she gained valuable experience managing a busy caseload of both internal medicine and surgical cases, further developing her skills across a wide range of equine patients.

Kirsten joined Ascot Equine Vets as an Associate Veterinarian in January 2026, and enjoys the variety that equine practice offers. She has a particular interest in sports medicine and internal medicine, and is passionate about helping horses perform at their best while maintaining their long-term health and wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic, Kirsten enjoys keeping active through sport and spending time in the saddle, making the most of her own passion for horses.
